MAD DOG Page

We always need  more  guys  since we   play  about 9-10  months a year.

Some players can only  play part –time or have  family, work obligations.  No problem  come  part-time  or  full-time. Rookies wanted always . Its  a great  club  to  join  - focused  on spreading  rugby  and  letting  everyone  play and  enjoy the  sport of 15 vs 15  rugby

NY Americans  Rugby football was founded  in 2004 . The team was  named in honor  of  the  troops abroud  in  2004  and  inspired  by  the  LONDON WELSH, LONDON IRISH ,  BOSTON  IRISH .  The team is  already a top 20 team around  NY.  Originally team started playing mainly seven vs seven tournaments .  Some were called the  Black Hawks in 94/95 sevens curcuit After a brief hiatus  reformed to win Princeton sevens club div. in 97 . The next 7 years the  players were a rotating group of SUNY students/friends  that played in the Met. Union   summer  sevens.

Some also had played  Northern Raiders Summer  AMNRL  rugby league.  In the summer we are friends with the USA coach... a bunch of us are on the emerging Tomahawks USA national team... ONLY 11 TEAMS SUPPLY the national team we (N RAIDERS  are one of them ) If you can tackle we can get you on the Australia tour playing for USA dev. team . If your good take that tour and maybe  play for your country   check out  http://amnrl.com/       A group of the players brought  in the silver medal at the 2003 NY Empire games.   Then in 2004  this NY American based team formed the NYAmericans  Rugby  Team.  The Team lives all over the State of NY because of the spread out nature of the club, From Kingston to Long island -- and in honor of the troops abroad the name was chosen.
After a winning season their first year ever,  this  young team is playing top level clubs now in the  best rugby union in the  USA  .
         Team oriented  players  needed.
